Hi I'm Desirea~ born and raised New Yorker chick with a twist of Chinese + Peruvian. I'm a textile development & marketing graduate with a strong passion for sustainability. Majority of my background lies in fashion - I've played many roles - my start came from a small town jewelry shop in Sugar Loaf NY where I ran day to day operations, client needs and photography of products. Soon after I worked for Burberry + Tory Burch doing merchandising, here I learned the true art of high end story telling.

My inspiration + roots came from my mother who I lost to cancer when I was 18, this really showed me what independence and strength looked like. When I turned 21 I was offered a job in NYC for a start up that sold young contemporary clothing. Here I met some of my best friends and ran the company with my boss. We opened over 300 wholesale accounts across the USA by good old cold calling, trade shows, pop ups and setting up photoshoots + marketing campaigns all on our own. I would say after this experience I really made the world my oyster and decided to take on whatever I could to learn as much as I could about my passions.

 

Fast forward to now I'm a happy mama to my one year old son, Hendrix. I gave myself time to take a break and learn what it takes to raise a human. As an empowered woman I naturally joined a society that supports mothers in the work force, here I found the chance of a life time to join MullenLowe in the Marketing & Advertising world and carry on my journey to the next big thing!
